IDD has designed its postgraduate courses to meet the requirements of every prospective or current employee in the development sector.  However each course allows the choice of optional modules, giving students the ability to customise their chosen course further.   From 2006 we are offering a greater choice of MScs and an MA.

The International Development Department (IDD) is a global community, with students from over 30 different countries, dedicated to converting academic excellence into practical contributions to development and poverty reduction at local, national and international level.

IDD is part of the School of Public Policy at the University of Birmingham which is one of the largest centres for the study of the public sector in Europe with over 100 academic staff, and offers unique opportunities for exchange of experience on governance and public management between developed, developing and transitional countries.
