Training Provider: University of East Anglia School/Institute/Dept./Centre: International Development UEA This course is designed for middle to senior level staff from relevant government agencies in both developed and developing countries, as well as non-governmental organisations, donor agencies and service providers.
In Week One, the data structure for each participant’s MIS is designed. Participants will be encouraged to consider what their information needs are prior to their arrival at UEA. The first week provides a practical, usable information system design.
Course Details
Staff: Dr Simon Bell is a Senior Lecturer in the Systems Group at the Open University. Prior to this he worked in International Development UEA for over ten years on a wide variety of courses and consultancy. His main work has been in information systems development and monitoring and sustainability indicators. He has worked in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America on projects of all types. Entry Requirements: Participants should possess basic skills in commonly available software packages and have workshop level competence in English.
