training program on journalism and democracy, scheduled for June 5 to
23 in Sweden. Application deadline: February 15.
The seminar,
which will take place in Kalmar and Stockholm, will focus on the
opportunities and obstacles of independent journalism, ethics and

for Further Education of Journalists (FOJO) is organizing the event.
Participants will attend workshops, seminars, discussion groups and

The program aims to gather

scrutinize the media’s role in democracy, to network, and to help find
solutions for journalism development. The Swedish International
Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) will cover travel and lodging
costs for participants.
